Designer Philosophy

The architecture of this arts-and-crafts/ industrial style home inspired the interior design of Whicker Construction’s Home-A-Rama property. Comfortable upholstered furniture arranged for everyday living was a must, with case goods and accessories chosen to highlight the industrial feel. Interesting materials—reclaimed wood, exposed hardware details, and a mix of metal finishes—with a soothing color scheme of light neutrals, aquas, and blues, all combine to create an exciting, livable family home.

Having started my design career at a residential architectural firm, I have always been inspired and directed by the architecture of the project—whether it be a Home-A-Rama property, a customer’s home, or a single room. Comfortable and stylish furniture arranged for your lifestyle should be a priority, with your personality showing in the color scheme, art, and accessories.
