Job Title: Manager of SAWs Hub Operations

Salary Range: $35,000 – $42,000 annually, dependent on experience

SUMMARY:

Successful not-for-profit organization is seeking an action-oriented, mission driven, self- starter as a Manager for SAWs Hub Operations who will coordinate ramp construction for all SAWs Hub locations in the State of Indiana, except for Marion County.  Manager will organize weekly ramp construction schedules as well as oversee and interact with project managers, area coordinators and volunteers while maintaining SAWs best practices and safety programs.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Possesses excellent woodworking and/or basic construction skills
Maintains and certifies that all SAWs ramps are built to the standards set forth in the Best Practice & Safety training program.
Responsible for creating the SAWs state-wide ramp schedule which includes forecasting and planning all SAWs Hub builds based on the client pipeline.
Monitors client software and identifies potential scheduled projects based on finished surveys, ramp drawings, prefabrication and raw materials.
Retains and cultivates a good working relationship with all suppliers including lumber yards and additional suppliers that support all the SAWs Hub locations.
Possesses a general understanding of accounting principles, profit and loss, risk and reward, and shows financial responsibility for all expenses.
Respectable knowledge and general understanding of all potential insurance liabilities and risks.
Promotes and implements current Safety policies as set forth by the Safety Committee and maintains the highest degree of safety for the project managers, volunteers and the client.
Provides additional oversight and input on efficiencies for the warehousing operations and raw material inventory for the SAWs Hub locations.
Provides effective and inspiring leadership for all SAWs Hub locations for the Project Managers, Area Coordinators and the Volunteers.
Provides input for the annual SAWs Budget.
Interacts with the Executive Director, Accounting, and the Community Outreach Coordinator.
Proactively identifies key problems and challenges and suggests, recommends and provides possible solutions to the SAWs management team.
Provides weekly build schedules and documentation to the SAWs Management Team
Occasionally interacts with current and potential donors, i.e. Churches, Corporate Sponsors, Local and or County Government officials.
Ability to travel 40-50% of the time during ramp building season, and work nights, weekend and holidays, if required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE:

3+ years of construction and woodworking experience
Possess valid driver’s license
High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Strong organizational, written, communication and problem-solving skills
Communicates clearly with all construction volunteers, project managers and management
Ability to manage, develop and implement corporate strategies
Demonstrates best practices and proactive approach to safety and quality programs
Basic software ability with Word, Excel and Outlook
Willing to learn BuilderTrend software
·         Enjoys working in a not-for-profit environment and supports the SAWs mission

Sight in order to be aware of hazards and dangers found in the nature of the work.
Regularly stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.
Climb ladders of varying heights.
Ability to maneuver in crawl spaces, attics, and utility tunnels.
Ability to work at extreme heights.
Lift moderate to heavy objects up to 75 lbs
WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will take place in an indoor office environment as well as outdoor environment, with climate changes. It may involve being exposed to hazardous conditions.
